ABOUT ICRP

Indonesian Conference on Religion and Peace (ICRP) is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-governmental, and independent organization that dedicated to promote interfaith dialogue, democracy, and peace in Indonesia. ICRP was founded by religious leaders from various religions and beliefs in Indonesia. ICRP seeks to encourage dialogue to build a democratic, humanist, and pluralist religious life. Before being inaugurated on July 12, 2000 by the President of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid, the efforts for interfaith dialogue had been established in Indonesia. ICRP together with various institutions and individuals who fight for pluralism and peace put more emphasis on the effort to uphold justice from various perspectives: gender, human rights, spirituality, economy, social, and politics. ICRP actively takes part in developing studies on peace and conflict resolution as well in fighting for human rights and freedom of religion and belief.   

VISION

A peaceful and prosperous society in the context of plurality of religions and beliefs in Indonesia.  

MISSION 

  1. Growing the multiculturalism and pluralism in social life;
  2. Building awareness of a healthy culture of religiosity, mutual respect, and free from mutual suspicion among all elements of the nation, especially interfaith communities and institutions;
  3. Encourage dialogues, advocacy, research, and resolution of socio-political and religious problems at national, international, and regional scales;
  4. Encourage communities, especially young people to respect and be grateful for the diversity and the richness of the tradition of each religious life.  

 

TENTANG ICRP

Indonesian Conference on Religion and Peace (ICRP) adalah organisasi nirlaba, nonsektarian, non-pemerintah dan independen yang didedikasikan untuk memajukan dan mempromosikan dialog antaragama, demokrasi dan perdamaian di Indonesia. ICRP didirikan oleh para pemuka agama dari berbagai agama dan kepercayaan di Indonesia. Upaya ICRP mendorong dialog membangun kehidupan beragama yang demokratis, humanis dan pluralis. Sebelum diresmikan pada 12 Juli 2000 oleh Presiden Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid, upaya dialog antaragama telah dibangun di Indonesia. ICRP bersama dengan berbagai lembaga maupun individu yang memperjuangkan pluralisme dan perdamaian lebih menekankan pada upaya menegakkan keadilan dalam berbagai perspektif: gender, HAM, spiritualitas, ekonomi, sosial dan politik. ICRP secara aktif mengambil bagian dalam mengembangkan studi tentang perdamaian dan resolusi konflik dan memperjuangkan hak asasi manusia dan kebebasan beragama dan berkeyakinan.

Masyarakat damai dan sejahtera dalam konteks kemajemukan agama dan kepercayaan di Indonesia

MISI

  1. Menumbuhkembangkan multikulturalisme dan pluralisme dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat
  2. Membangun kesadaran budaya religiusitas yang sehat, saling menghormati dan bebas dari rasa saling curiga di antara seluruh elemen bangsa  khusus komunitas dan lembaga antar-iman
  3. Mendorong usaha – usaha dialog, advokasi, pengkajian dan pemecahan masalah-masalah sosial politik dan keagamaan baik dalam skala daerah, nasional, regional, maupun internasional
  4. Mendorong semua pihak, khususnya kaum muda, untuk menghormati dan mensyukuri keberagaman dan kekayaan tradisi kehidupan keagamaan masing-masing pihak.
